How to Create an Account
IMPORTANT: The self-registration as described on this page is currently not available due to an IT problem. If you would like to create a new account for making a submission, please contact our Editorial Team via excli@ifado.de and provide the following information:
- Given name
- Family name
- Username (only lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores)
- E-mail address
Our Editorial Team will then create an account for you and send you your login credentials.

If you are submitting to EXCLI Journal for the first time, you need to create a user account. On the homepage, you find the “Register”-option in the top right corner:
After clicking on Register, a form will open where you can fill in your personal information, including your Given Name, Family Name, Affiliation and Country:
If you scroll further down, you find more fields, including your Email address, a Username, and a Password you need to log in to your account. In order to finalize the registration, you must agree to the privacy statement. Afterwards, proceed with the “Register”-button:
You will receive a notification stating that you have to verify your E-mail address. Log in to your E-mail account and click on the link you receive in your inbox, which will lead you back to the EXCLI landing page. You can now log in to your newly created account with the “Login”-option in the top right corner:
Clicking on Login leads you to the following screen, where you can fill in your Username and Password and confirm with the “Login”-button:
After logging in, please proceed with the tutorial on uploading new submissions.
